Molly was there and was very intrigued by the local wildlife! They were surprisingly unfazed by her! I’ll post a few more pictures. We had some brilliant walks taking in the stunning surroundings you have to offer. After tiring ourselves out it was always lovely to go back to the lovely Strathan house and relax in front of the open fire. The perfect holiday.
“A very nice week in a cosy cottage, very comfortable, clean etc. Nice wood burning stove.Only downside was the world supply of midges anchored around the doorway, in early morning or late afternoon, preventing sitting outside. But that’s Scotland and the cracking surrounding hills etc make up for that.”Tip:”No phone reception, no big problem. No TV, also no problem, although would be nice to be able see the weather. A DVD player you might consider bring some thing to watch, as well as reading books, for the evening.Besides the hills check out Plockton and Applecross, if you have a bike cycle to Applecross over the Bealach Na Baa.Attadale garden is a must to visit”
We stayed in Strathan House as a family of only four, which meant there was plenty of space for all and enough room for wet boots and big rucksacks without making the place feel cluttered. Everything is very well organised and the deer really do come and look through the window at night! We definitely will return!
I have stayed at Attadale cottages many times, with friends, and with family including children. The cottages are well equipped, comfortable and welcoming. The surrounding landscape and gardens at Attadale house are stunning. . Adults and children alike have been enchanted by seeing red deer very close - including when they sometimes visit the gardens around the cottages at night. The walking is good.
A very special place. Very cosy, well designed interior, everything provide for a perfect stay”Tip:”Attadale Gardens are amazing. Walking out from East Bothy, up the hill road to the loch , the Bendronaig Bothy or the Bridge over the gorge truly beautiful scenery.”
This is a very nice comfortable cottage in a tranquil setting. Lots of places to visit in surrounding area which has stunning scenery. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to be back. Very efficient and friendly service.
